Creative Coping for Older Adults during COVID-19: How to Stay Safe and Sane
July 15, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a great impact on everyone, especially “at-risk” groups, such as older adults. Sheltering in place orders and public health mandates have greatly limited the degree to which older adults can interact with their family or friends and reduced their involvement in activities within the community. These restrictions can lead to feelings of stress, sadness, and loneliness. The aim of this forum is to discuss the effects of the pandemic on older adults and to offer tips on how older adults can stay mentally and physically healthy during this unique time.
