Thanks for the Feedback

June 9, 2020 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

We all have triggered reactions to the feedback we get – from colleagues, patients, friends, family members, and partners. And yet, we know that useful feedback is key to learning, growing, collaborating, and solving problems. So how do you get the feedback you need, particularly during this strange time? We’ll talk about three kinds of feedback we all need to learn and grow, and some simple practices for having richer feedback conversations in all directions – whether you’re the giver or the receiver.

Sheila Heen, Faculty at Harvard Law School, Founder of Triad Consulting, and Co-Author of two NYT bestsellers:Thanks for the Feedback: The Science and Art of Receiving Feedback Well (Even When It’s Off-Base, Unfair, Poorly Delivered, and Frankly, You’re Not in the Mood), (with Douglas Stone, Penguin 2014) and Difficult Conversations: How to Discuss What Matters Most, (with Douglas Stone & Bruce Patton, 1999).
