Q: Who is eligible to be considered for Harvard Heroes?
A: To be eligible to be nominated, staff must be administrative/professional, support or hourly employees with at least one year of “benefits-eligible” service. Please note that Harvard Heroes recognizes outstanding individuals, not teams. Heroes does not provide posthumous recognition.

Q: What process does the Harvard Heroes Selection Committee follow to select the HLC Honorees from the overall list of HLC Nominees?
A: The HLC Selection Committee adheres to specific guidelines.

Q: Can I find out who nominated me?
A: Send an email to Antonia Gonzalez, Ilia Maldonado, and Andrea Moreira and we will check with your nominator whether it’s ok to share their name. Some nominators prefer to remain anonymous.

Q: When will I find out if I have been selected as a Harvard Hero?
A: Harvard Longwood Campus nominees will be notified in early-April. Selected Harvard Heroes will be informed by or before Thursday, April 13th.

Q: How are the Harvard Heroes celebrated?
A: This year’s Harvard Heroes awards ceremony, hosted by President Bacow, will be held Friday, June 9, 3:30 p.m. in Memorial Hall, Sanders Theatre; Reception to follow at Annenberg Hall (next to Sanders Theatre). All employees are invited and no tickets are needed.
