Essentials for Preparing for a Brave Conversation – What gets in the way of having a brave conversation? Often these conversations are laden with emotion, risk, or sensitive topics, especially during turbulent times. Despite this, there are ingredients that can help make a conversation productive and even successful. In this one-hour training, the Harvard Ombuds Office will explore the fundamental elements for preparing for a brave conversation. Participants will also leave with tools to plan their next brave conversation. Presenters: Lisa Neale, Ombuds with over 15 years Ombudsing, conflict coaching and training, and Colette Carmouche is an Ombuds for faculty, staff and students with 13 years’ experience in conflict transformation, diversity, equity and inclusion.
