Manager Discussion Forum: The Coaching Edge- Empowering Managers to Build Accountability

This in-person professional development workshop, designed for up to 20 managers, levels 57-59, focuses on enhancing leadership skills through a coaching approach.

Led by guest speaker Jennifer Puccetti, Executive Director of the Harvard Medical School Department of Global Health and Social Medicine, and Leadership coach (bio below), the session will introduce the fundamentals of coaching, emphasizing how it fosters employee growth and engagement. Participants will explore the art of framing effective questions and learn how intentional communication can create clarity, inspire action, and build accountability within their teams. Through hands-on activities and real-world examples, attendees will leave with actionable strategies to improve team performance.

Jennifer Puccetti is a higher education administrator with over 30 years’ experience and serves as the Executive Director of the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School as well as a leadership coach. As Executive Director, Jennifer is responsible for the administrative oversight of the department, and for fostering collaborative relationships across the school with multiple internal and external stakeholders. She provides strategic leadership, ensuring the department chair’s vision is implemented and operations run smoothly.

She earned her certificate in leadership coaching for organizational performance from Rutgers University. She holds a master’s in public policy, earned through a joint program between Rutgers University and the United States Peace Corps in international development policy, and she has served as Peace Corps volunteer.
