The Harvard Heroes Recognition Program celebrates the accomplishments of Harvard staff whose work supports the mission of Harvard at the highest levels of contribution, impact and excellence.

Please congratulate our 2025 Harvard Hero Nominees! This year we received over 80 nominations across the Longwood Campus which is a testament to the individuals who make up our community and the work that they do.

Q: Who is eligible to be considered for Harvard Heroes?
A: To be eligible to be nominated, staff must be administrative/professional, support or hourly employees with at least one year of “benefits-eligible” service. Please note that Harvard Heroes recognizes outstanding individuals, not teams. Heroes does not provide posthumous recognition.

Q: What process does the Harvard Heroes Selection Committee follow to select the HLC Honorees from the overall list of HLC Nominees?
A: The HLC Selection Committee adheres to specific guidelines.

Q: Can I find out who nominated me?
A: Send an email to Jennifer Weininger and we will check with your nominator whether it’s ok to share their name. Some nominators prefer to remain anonymous.

Q: How are the Harvard Heroes celebrated?
A: This year’s Harvard Heroes awards ceremony, hosted by Interim President Garber will be held Thursday, June 13, 3:30 p.m. in Memorial Hall, Sanders Theatre; Reception to follow at Annenberg Hall (next to Sanders Theatre). All employees are invited and no tickets are needed.
