Welcome to the Harvard Longwood Campus! We are delighted you are joining the Harvard Longwood Campus (HLC) community. Your role at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Harvard Medical School, or Harvard School of Dental Medicine is part of a community of talented, engaging, and creative individuals who have come together in collaboration to make the world a better place.

At the Medical School, the mission “to create and nurture a diverse community of the best people committed to leadership in alleviating human suffering caused by disease” challenges all of its unique members to strive for the creation of medical and scientific advances, whether it’s in the basic sciences, translational research, education or administration.

By adhering to core values such as improving and protecting the health of all populations, especially the most vulnerable of these-children, the elderly, the poor, and the underserved, the mission of the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health— to advance the public’s health through learning, discovery, and communication—creates collaborations between individuals all over the world, establishing a diverse assortment of ideas, challenges, and breakthroughs.

As the only school in the University that offers direct patient care in its own clinical facility, the School of Dental Medicine brings together clinicians and researchers to innovate science, fostering inter- and multi-disciplinary learning and discovery, and creating an academic environment in which oral health education, research, and patient care occur simultaneously, each informing and improving the others.
